GORILLA'S CHIMPS & WILDLIFE
An exceptional journey of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences and adventure you may ever have.
Uganda is renowned for its abundant wildlife, its deep water lakes, and lush rainforests, home to the Mountain gorillas and chimps.
With a mixture of camping and basic accommodation this adventure starts in Entebbe and ends there. Travelling a full circuit we will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park where extensive game drives will be taken, cruise on the Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls, and trek deep into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to be rewarded with one of the most amazing animal encounters you could ever have the Mountain gorillas! Take a walk on the wildside in Budongo forest an area known for prime chimpanzee viewing and the area where Jane Goodall did much of her research, last of the parks is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a refuge for Uganda's last rhino's and tracking them on foot will give great opportunity to spend some time with these magnificent animals. After Ziwa we will make our way back slowly to Entebbe stopping off at Mabamba swamps where we might just be lucky enough to see the amazing and rare shoebill stork.
As a country Uganda offers the wildlife enthusiast all they could wish for with all the iconic animals present here. The rainforests have some of the highest populations of primates found anywhere in Africa, the most famous being the mountain gorillas. Both Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks are abundant with game and home to hippos, elephants, leopards, buffalo and the tree climbing lions at Ishasha.
This safari is an adventure, a good level of fitness is required for trekking and as the country is made up of high altitude mountains and covered in rain forest it can rain at anytime.Often overlooked in the past Uganda is fast becoming a top tourist destination, being less visited it offers animal encounters never to be forgotten, spectacular scenery, exceptional photographic opportunities, and is known to have some of the friendliest people in Africa!
