TRAVELING THROUGH THREE COUNTRIES THIS SAFARI MAY BE ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES YOU WILL EVER TAKE!
A journey for those looking for the ultimate African safari, this tour travels through three countries, South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe and includes the great parks of Southern Africa, Kruger National Park, Chobe National Park and Hwange National Park which offer superb game viewing opportunities. The route includes two world heritage sites Mapungubwe Archaeological Site and Victoria Falls National Park. Other highlights include the Okavango Delta which is the largest inland delta in the world and considered one of the most incredible wilderness sanctuaries in the world, while Moremi and Savuti game reserves have high populations of game, with Savuti being famous for its big tuskers, both Moremi and Savuti are home to endangered wild dogs and offer a true wilderness experience.
Accommodation is of good standard with a selection of lodges, luxury tented camps and national park ensuite bungalows. Each venue has been carefully selected to enhance your safari experience, such as the tree houses at Ivory Lodge overlooking a floodlit water hole situated on the edge of Hwange National park. In Matopos National Park the lodge is nestled in the ancient granite boulders giving wonderful views over the bushveld below. Mobile tented camps are a feature on this safari and used when going through the wild areas of Chobe, Moremi and Savauti, this allows more time for game viewing, and giving time to relax and enjoy these wilderness areas. Ground staff prepare each camp in advance and a chef is on hand to cook meals. Tents have beds with linen provided and simple ensuite facilities. A highlight has to be sitting around the campfire with fellow travellers sharing stories and listening to the sounds of the African night.
Activities are as varied as the accommodation you will stay in. In South Africa short walks will be taken to view Blyde River Canyon, Gods Window, and the Heritage trail in Mapungubwe. In Zimbabwe a whole day will be spent out with a professional local guide hearing the stories of the bushmen and visiting their rock art sites, a local village is also included where the chief will welcome you and tell you the ways of his village, then finishing the day the afternoon will be spent tracking rhino on foot. While staying in your luxury tented camp in the Okavango Delta a full day exploring by mokoro will be taken and for those who like to fish there is an opportunity to try your luck. However the main aim of this safari is the wildlife, and extensive game drives will be taken throughout all the national parks and reserves visited.
Designed with comfort in mind this tour is suitable for all ages. The ultimate experience for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts an experience which will leave you with magical memories and the desire to return to Africa time and time again.
